Weber, Eric Henry
MADISON–On Saturday, March 28, 2015, Eric Henry Weber found peace after 63 years of affliction with retardation. He was born on Sept. 28, 1951, the son of Everett and Catherine Weber. Eric is survived by two sisters, Maureen and Suzanne; special uncle, Jerome; special cousin, Mark; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private family memorial will be held. We will remember Eric with many fond memories. Our thanks for the care given to him by the people at CLC and the MARC Center. I first met Eric as part of a program matching people for friendship, and it grew into a friendship that lasted more than 30 years. At the time he was living at Orchard Hill on Fish Hatchery Rd. We met over a cup of coffee at the McDonalds right there. Since then we have had many cups of coffee together. We did a lot of things together over the years, usually starting with supper at Ponderosa until they closed. After that we had many Rocky's pizzas together. I have a photo of Eric and I in front of the Ponderosa sign on E. Washington Ave. on the occasion of our 25th anniversary together. He was quite a jolly guy and we had a lot of laughs together.

I remember Eric when we lived at 916 E. Gorham St, Madison in the 1960s. I read a Wisconsin State Journal article written about Eric a few years ago and his knowledge of sports. I was impressed. I wish I could have talked with him in recent years. My condolences.
