Jan was an amazing woman who taught love, gratitude, tolerance, forgiveness. She loved her family, each and everyone unconditionally. She accepted whatever life handed her. I will miss her.

On the day you passed mother, my Japanese teacher assigned us thank you letters for homework. I thought it would only be appropriate to thank you. I remember how much you enjoyed hearing of my travels and how fond of Japanese culture and art you were too. Below is my final draft.
