Ralph Towne

Ralph had an extraordinary intellect and was a gifted professor who was a role model in so many ways. Blessed with a generous spirit ,he had a more formative influence on me than most anyone I have met in my 71 years. He was my Ph.D. advisor (1970-74), mentor and friend. In fact, one of my books (published in 1993) is dedicated to him. I expect that all who were taught by him with remember him with great respect and fondness. I have missed him since I last saw him several years ago, and now that he has passed ,I will miss him even more.
