Ralph had an extraordinary intellect and was a gifted professor who was a role model in so many ways. Blessed with a generous spirit ,he had a more formative influence on me than most anyone I have met in my 71 years. He was my Ph.D. advisor (1970-74), mentor and friend. In fact, one of my books (published in 1993) is dedicated to him. I expect that all who were taught by him with remember him with great respect and fondness. I have missed him since I last saw him several years ago, and now that he has passed ,I will miss him even more. My condolences to his dear wife of 50 years, Carol, and too all who admired and loved him.
Sincerely,
Myles Martel
