My dear friend, how I will miss our morning playing card and having breakfast and coffee. You were always there for me when I was down, we had our moments but we stayed strong. I love you dearly and I will miss you to the moon and back. Say hi to Julie for me. Donna Flom

My oldest sister Pat and Mavis were best friends. The three of us boarded our horses together in Mount Horeb. I have many wonderful memories of good times spent together with our horses, Mavis and Gypsy.
I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Although I have not seen Mavis for years, my sister Pat kept in touch with her and relayed Mavis's journey battling cancer to me. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sadness.

Mavis and I were friends since Junior High School in Mt. Horeb. We had horses together and had some really good times. I moved to Nebraska in 1964, then later to Colorado before arriving in Arizona in 1977. I kept in contact through the years and was very sad when she told me she had cancer. The last time I saw her was November 2010 when I was in Wisconsin. We had a good time talking about the horses and other animals we had. I am very sad she has died, and my thoughts are with you. I'm very sorry for your loss. Mavis may not be my relation anymore, but I still held a special place in my heart for her. I was very sad to hear of her cancer and death. If I can do anything to help all of you, please don't hesitate to ask. Tracy Ambrose
