Marlene & I first met in 1969,when we joined MPD and went through the police academy. She was a kind, fair, and gentle woman and a great investigator. The world is much poorer without her in it. Mary Otterson

Tony, Dawn, Nikki, Ty and family..We are so sorry about your mothers passing, I know I have said this in emails/texts, but my mothers death is still so raw to me and it breaks my heart to know other people, especially those I care about, are losing their loved ones and will have to endure the pain that I have. I live in one of the condos near Marlene. And although I did not know her well, I enjoyed chatting with her about her beautiful flower garden. She was a talented gardener and kind person who made our neighborhood more beautiful through her efforts. My deepest sympathy to all her family. Linda Palzkill
