Obituary
MIDDLETON-Cole Alexander Bougie, age 18, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at his home. He was born in Meriter Hospital, Madison on February 13, 1994, the son of Andre Bougie and Cathy Vos. Cole was a senior at Middleton High School where he was an exceptional student and was involved in drama. He was also passionate about music, learning, video games, nature, and animals including his many pets. Cole was known as a sweet, sensitive, gregarious, loving, quirky and forgiving spirit with a tremendous sense of humor. He leaves behind a large extended family and many loving friends. Cole is survived by his parents, Cathy (Duane Dickson) Vos and Andre (Shelly Riemer) Bougie, two brothers, Taylor and Benjamin Bougie; his paternal grandmother, Joan Bougie; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Joan Vos, and a loving former step-mother, Diane Eddings and her extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerome William Bougie, and a cousin, Thomas Patrick Bougie. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Visitation will be from 3:30 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Cole’s name.

I was Cole’s 5th grade teacher. I just retired and was going through my things when I came across a story he wrote. It won in the top 10 of the Yahara contest. He was so talented and creative! Such a loss to our world. I greatly enjoyed teaching him. My heart breaks reading this.
