My sincere sympathy to Dan and to Ilene's brothers, John & Bill. I know this was a long and difficult illness, but she is now at peace. May God give comfort to all who knew and loved her.

I have fond memories of Ilene as a fellow percussionist at Lawrence University and in Appleton City Band, and a fellow traveler on my 2001 trip to Ireland. She was a dear friend with a big heart. I am sure that her family and friends will miss her very much.
