Scott Burkard

Normal 0 MADISON, WIS./LAS VEGAS, NEV.-Scott Thomas Burkard, age 47, of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 in Las Vegas. He was born on July 5, 1962, in Madison, Wis., the son of Dean and Rose Burkard. Scott married Michelle Kuelbs on July 6, 1996. He worked as a blackjack dealer for OSheas Casino in Las Vegas and loved golf, the Badgers, and the Packers. Scott is survived by his parents; siblings, Alan (Lauri) Burkard, Mary (Bart) Hebert, David (Paula) Burkard, and Donald (Sue) Burkard; and nieces and nephews, Jessica, Cody, and Samantha Burkard, Brett, Michael, and Megan Hebert, Taylor, Corbin, and Parker Burkard, and Erin Burkard. He is further survived by his good friend and companion, his dog, Bella. Scott was preceded in death by his nephew, James Burkard. Special thanks to O'Sheas Casion in Las Vegas for the help and support they have provided to the family during this time. Memorials: Inurnment will be at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Visitation: A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, Wis., at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010. Service: A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
