Mattie Fleenor

Fleenor, Mattie Bedwell MILWAUKEE/MADISON-Mattie Bedwell Fleenor, age 81, of Fitchburg, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center. She was born on Oct. 25, 1928, in Blackey, Ky., the daughter of Edmond and Ellen Bedwell. Mattie married Ray Fleenor on May 9, 1945, in Kentucky. She retired from Milwaukee County Medical/Froetdert Hospital. Mattie's favorite hobby was quilting. She is survived by her sons, Harold (Christine), Bob, and Warren Dale (Nancy); grandchildren, Harold Jr., Wesley (Lisa), Kevin, Brian, John (Kim), Wendy, and Tom (Kelly); great-grandchildren, Christian, Greggory, Cheyenne, Emily, Christopher, Olivia, Sofia, and Clayton; brothers, Douglas and Dan; and sisters, Joyce and Eloise. Mattie was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Beatrice; brothers, John, Spencer, James and Andy; and great-grandchild, Harold III. Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's Care Center, Stoughton Hospital, Geriatric ward, and the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center for the wonderful care they gave Mom and her family.
