John Stormer

Middleton-John W. Stormer, age 43, passed away peacefully on Thurs., Dec. 3, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Dec. 22, 1965, in Madison, the son of Gene and Ruth (Dahlk) Stormer. John married his high school sweetheart, Teresa Miller on Sept. 12, 1987, in Middleton, Wis. He was part owner and president of Stagecoach Plumbing Inc. John enjoyed football, baseball, hunting, fishing and NASCAR. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family. He was devoted to his wife and children who meant the world to him. John is survived by his wife, Teresa; 4 children: Katie (13), Jack (11), Emily (9) and Joshua (6); his parents, Gene and Ruth Stormer; 3 brothers, Dan (Lisa), Todd (Debbie) and Tim (Nichole); maternal grandmother, Anna Dahlk; paternal grandfather, Robert Stormer; mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Marianne Miller, 1 brother-in-law; 3 sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. John was preceded in death by his grandpa, Norman Dahlk; grandmother, Fern Stormer and Theresa's grandparents, Herman and Phyllis Miller. Funeral Services will be held at WEST MIDDLETON LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3763 Pioneer Road, (corner of Mineral Point and Pioneer Road), Verona, Wis., on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Brandfass presiding. There will be a visitation at the church from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday. A memorial fund will be established for his children's education. A special thanks to Rick and Shawn Reisdorf for their care and devotion, also to Dr. Grossman and his nurses and staff, and the TLC Unit at UW Hospital for their care given to John and the nursing staff at the UW Comprehensive Cancer Center. "John, You were an awesome daddy and will be missed." A celebration of John's life will take place on Sat., Dec. 12, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Red Mouse in Pine Bluff. Memorials: A memorial fund will be established for his children's education. Visitation: There will be a visitation at the church from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
