Robert Sherraden

MADISON- Robert C. Sherraden, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Attic Angel Place in Madison. He was born on Dec. 25, 1915, in Chapman, Kan., the son of Arthur and Mabel (Marshall) Sherraden. Robert married Madeline Amthauer on Aug. 24, 1941, in Kansas City, Kan. She preceded him in death in 1996. Robert is survived by his sons, Dennis (Deborah) Sherraden of Middleton and Michael (Margaret) Sherraden of St. Louis, Mo; granddaughter, Catherine; grandsons, Samuel, Collin, Brian and Aaron; great-granddaughter, Zya; sisters, Mabel Amthauer and Virginia (Dave)Parsons; brothers, Edward (Gerry) and Kenneth (Gerry); and thirty-eight nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brothers, LaVern, Arthur, Elwood and George. Funeral services will be held at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 804 N. Jefferson St., Junction City, Kan, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, with Reverend Dr. Kenton D. Van presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Junction City, Kan. Memorials may be made to Attic Angel Place.
