Luxton, Mary JaneMADISON - Mary Jane Luxton, age 76, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Meriter Hospital. She was born on April 5, 1933, in Cazenovia, the daughter of Clessie and Lillian (Harrison) Michael. Mary Jane married John Luxton on Dec. 15, 1951. She worked for WPS Insurance for more than 20 years. Mary Jane enjoyed cooking, reading, and crosswords. She was a longtime devoted member of Immaculate Heart of Mary church. Mary Janes door was always open and someone was always stopping by the house. She is survived by her husband, John, Sr.; children, Peggy (Greg) Bleck, Julie (special friend Curt) Hurtig, Lisa (fianc Andy) Wanless, Shawn Luxton, and John (Chris) Luxton, Jr.; grandchildren, Marty, Jennifer (Jamie), Stephanie (Jeff), Angie (Vaughn), Jane, Jeremy, and Arielle; brothers and sisters, Donald Michael, Sharon (Tim) Riordan, and Colleen Grover; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jane; brother, Gerald; son-in-law, Bill Wanless; and sister-in-law, Arlene Michael. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to specially thank Dr. Cole, Dr. Dopf, Dr. Marti, Dr. McCartney, and the nurses and staff at Meriter Hospital. Mary Jane Luxton had a loving soul that touched many lives. To call her your friend, you were lucky. To call her your family, you were honored. Weve lost an anchor in our lives, but her memory and love will see us through the storms of life.
Cemetery:
Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation:
Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Service:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, with Father John Meinholz presiding.
