Guy Sinclair

Sinclair, Guy A.MADISON-Guy A. Sinclair, age 72, of Madison passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at St. Marys Hospital. He was born on July 25, 1937, in Steuben, Maine, the son of Bernard and Velzora Sinclair. Guy married his first wife, Myra, and after her passing in 1990, he married Roberta (Elmer) Hrubes in 1991, in Madison. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was also a civil servant at Buckley Air Force Base in Denver until his retirement. After he moved back to Madison he worked at McGoverns as a maintenance worker. Guy was known for his holiday decorating and he once made the headlines in the Wisconsin State Journal for having his home in lights for Christmas. He enjoyed hunting, as well as fishing with his grandchildren. Guy and Roberta enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. He is survived by his son, Ronny of Colorado; stepdaughter, Kim (Shane) McCann; stepsons, Chris (Denise) Hrubes and Craig (Julie) Hrubes; grandchildren, Damien, Shannon (Christian), Heather, Lucas, Aubrey, Aaron, Emmy, and Maddy; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Austin; sister, Beverly Dubay; mother-in-law, Ione Elmer, sister-in-law, Joanne Hrubes; and many nieces and nephews. Guy was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta; son, Toben; brother-in-law, Robert Dubay; and a special cousin, Ray Donnell. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, with the Rev. John Ruppenthal presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
