Thomas Rosemeyer

Rosemeyer, Thomas Ray TomMADISON-Thomas Ray Rosemeyer, age 64, of Madison passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on Sept. 24, 1945 in Platteville, the son of Max and Mary (Slack) Rosemeyer. Tom married Connie Howell on Feb. 15, 1969, in Fennimore. He retired from United Parcel Service in 2002 after 30 years of service. Tom was a proud member of the Teamster Local 344. He also belonged to Messiah Lutheran Church and the Elks Madison Lodge No. 410. Tom was an avid golfer and Badgers football supporter. He enjoyed his many trips to Las Vegas, Badger Bowl games, and traveling around the state with Connie. Tom also enjoyed working part-time at Stellar Services. He enjoyed spending time with his 12 grandkids. Tom was a loving and devoted husband, father, papa, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Connie; son, Thomas (Michelle) Rosemeyer; daughters, Tricia (Brian) Markevitch and Trina (Jerry) OGara; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Kyle, Jordan, Max, Jack, Maddie, Sophie, Isabelle, Aliyah, Aidan, and Alexa; sisters, Maxine (Scott) Patchin, and Roxanne Rosemeyer; mother-in-law, Kathryn Howell; and sisters-in-law, Sally, Karen, and Tami Rosemeyer, Dianne Turtenwald, and Georgia Schlutz. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Max Rosemeyer; brothers, Doug, Jim, and Tony; infant sister; father-in-law, George Howell; and mother-in-law, Geneva Howell. Funeral services will be held at MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5202 Cottage Grove Rd, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, with the Rev. Jeff VandenHeuvel presiding. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore at a later date. Ill love you forever, Ill love you always. As long as Im living, my Precious youll be.
