Avanelle Voss

Voss, Avanelle MADISON-Avanelle Voss, age 76, died on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at Harmony House of McFarland. She was born on Jan. 1, 1913, the daughter of Clarence and Lena Medley. Avanelle married Earl Voss on April 5, 1931. They farmed in the Cobb and Highland areas before moving to Madison in 1958. Avanelle was an artist and attended many area art fairs after moving to Madison. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home after retirement. Avanelle is survived by a daughter, Patricia Bauer of Madison; a son, Jack (Katie) of California; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Voss of California; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Earl, on Dec. 21, 2000; a son, Richard, on Jan. 26, 2004; two sisters, Hazel Quirk and Lenice Clements; and two brothers, Guerdon Medley and Emmet Medley. Private services will be held with no visitation. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
