Walter Bach

Bach, Walter W.\r\n MADISON-Walter W. Bach, age 80, of Madison passed away on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, with his family at his bedside. He was born on Jan. 27, 1929, in Madison, the son of Leo and Mina (Aeschlimann) Bach. Walter graduated from East High School. He was employed by Oscar Mayer and then served in the Army from 1950 to 1952. Following his honorable discharge Walter returned to work in Madison at Oscar Mayer. He retired at age 53 and enjoyed retirement by making beautiful furniture, and helping his daughters and neighbors with building projects and home maintenance. Walter was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Dear husband of Viola (Marie Salg) for 56 years; father of Marianne (David) Harring and Barbara (Daniel) Werdin; grandpa of Rebecca, Eric (Zulfiia), Carianne, Stacy, and Neil; and great-grandpa of Hailey, Johnathan, and Lucas. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Laura Sutherland presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
