Dorothy Betts

Betts, Dorothy M. MADISON-Dorothy M. Betts, age 78, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009. She was born on Jan. 6, 1931, in Beloit, the daughter of Merle and Winnifred Betts. Dorothy graduated from Madison East High School in 1949. She worked at McCardle Laboratory until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Madison. She loved going out to lunch and shopping at the mall. Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Mary (Cliff) MacFarlane and Pat Hohlstein; a brother, Ray Betts, all of Madison; sister-in-law, Virgie Betts of Woodstock, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Bob and Dick Betts. A private family Mass will be held. Private burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
