MADISON/MONONA - Patricia L. Pat Lemanski, age 77, of Monona, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, surrounded by her family at the HospiceCare Center, after a long battle with heart disease and cancer. She was born on Aug. 4, 1932, in Madison, the daughter of Herbert and Lorena Engelhart. Pat married Jerome Lemanski on Oct. 20, 1951, at St. James Catholic Church in Madison. She worked for 21 years at LaFollette High School. Pat was her childrens and grandchildrens biggest fan and rarely missed any of their events. She was also a huge fan of the Badgers, Packers and Red Wings. Pat truly enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters, especially their Friday and Sunday get-togethers. Pat will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Jerome; four children, Steven (Victoria), Jan (Randy) Boyes, David, and Kevin (Bobbi); 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;and sisters and brothers, Richard Engelhart, Phyllis (Verne) Henshue, Mary (Clair) Dirienzo, Gerald (Mona) Engelhart, Shirley (Charles) Dirienzo, James (Nancy) Engelhart, Carol (Philip) Overton, William (Karen) Engelhart, and Charles (Shirley) Engelhart. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and her angel in heaven, grandson, Adam Lemanski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, with Father Lance Schneider presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Scripture service at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009. Thank you to the staff at St. Marys Hospital, and the Hospice Center. A special thanks to Dr. Timothy Lechmaier and Dr. Brian Bachhuber for their loving care given to our Mom over the past few years. Our family loved Mom more than words could say and she will live in our hearts today and always!
Cemetery:
Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation:
Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Scripture service at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009.
Service:
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, with Father Lance Schneider presiding.

We want you all to know how much we enjoyed your mother, grandmother, wife. She was such a wonderful lady, filled with such a zest in life, happiness, humor, and even sometimes sassiness, which we all thought was great! We will hold on to our memories of her especially the many times at all of the boys sporting events. She will be missed. Our family should be most appreciative to have stayed as a family with 10 siblings and this being our first loss. "Patsy" I was so fortunate to have spoke to you on the phone last Thursday and I feel that our faith and our upbringing have kept this family so close for so many, many years. You and Jer are so lucky to have been together for 58 years. We love you and we will miss you terribly but I know you are in a better place with no more pain or suffering. As I said to you in one of our recent chats, I could not be more proud of how you handled your personal situation in recent months since your diagnosis. You displayed enormous courage in the face of a dire situation.
No one can accomplish more with their life than to be a shining example for your loved ones at a critical time like this. All of us are extemely proud of how you handled all of it.
God blessed you with a loving husband of 58 years. You fit each other well and that too is an example for your family.
I am glad we were able to have several very meaningful talks of late. I know from our conversations that you are now in heaven with our Lord. To know that makes us all very happy.

Uncle Jer and the whole family, I am truly sorry for your loss. I wish I was able to be there but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have such fond memories of family events together with June bringing Missy and I over to play and swim, coming over for Halloween to trick or treat, and 4th of July family celebrations that will forever be in my memories. How do you say good-bye to a big sister who has been a such big part of your life for 64 years, who along with my other big sisters took such good care of me. Like I've told so many, I was blessed to be married into such a wonderful family and now family is the most important thing to me. I absolutley loved being your sister because of your spunkieness and sassiness, you lived life to the fullest and showed great strength in these last years. You are truly an inspiration.
