Robert Maier

Maier, Robert C. Sr.OREGON - Robert C. Maier Sr., age 80, of Oregon, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31,2009, at home. He was born on March 3, 1929, in Fennimore, the son of Otto and Myrtle (Henkel) Maier. Robert married Darlene Burkeland on April 17, 1949. He worked at the Dane County Coliseum for many years, until his retirement in 1984. Robert is survived by his three children, Robert (Debbie) Maier Jr. of Sarasota, Fla, Mary (Michael) Hagen of Oregon, and Donna (Mark) Mathison of Edgerton; grandchildren, Alexandra and Mitchell Mathison, and Marc and Kristin Hagen; two brothers, Richard (Carole) Maier and Otto Maier; and special friend, Donna Stanek. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Darlene; and daughter, Lois Bollig. Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN\'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood, Oregon, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, with the Rev. Paul Markquart presiding. Burial will be at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
