Meyer, Diane OraMADISON - Diane Ora Meyer, age 67, of Madison, passed away after a brief battle with lung cancer on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on July 15, 1942 in Waupun, the daughter of Herman and Doris (Pea) Rhode. Diane graduated from Markesan High School in 1959. She married Warren Meyer on June 20, 1964. Diane worked at H.K. Company until 1978, when she decided to stay at home with her children. She and Warren were active members of Eagles Club. Diane was an avid bingo player and was loving, caring and energetic. Diane is survived by her husband, Warren of Madison;daughter, Tina (Kenneth) Young of Rio;son, Terry (Tuana) Meyer of Greer, S.C.;grandchildren, Stephen, Larry, and Shanelle Meyer;brothers, Daniel (Margaret) Rhode, Dale Rhode, and Duane (Louise) Rhode. She was preceded in death by her parents;an infant sister;and a brother. Funeral services will be held at Gunderson East Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. A special thank you to the staff at St. Mary's Hospital. Diane was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be greatly missed.
