Norma Wahler

MIDDLETON-Norma I. Wahler, age 88, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009 at the UW Hospital in Madison. She was born on May 26, 1921 in the town of Berry, the daughter of Otto and Alma (Brockman) Matz. Norma was united in marriage to Ralph Wahler on July 10, 1943 in St. John's Lutheran Church, Roxbury. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was employed with Schwab & Schwartz in Middleton for many years. In her later years, she worked for Stewart Sandwich Company. Norma was a long time member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. She had been very active withchurch activities, but truly treasured most the time she spent with her family. Norma is survived by a daughter, Yvonne (Michael) Fort; two sons, Wayne (Barbara) Wahler and David Wahler; four grandchildren, Nick and Derek Wahler and Jason (Melody) and Melissa Fort, and two great grandchildren, Deven Mitchell and Samantha Fort. In addition to her husband, Ralph, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Oscar, Victor, Orland and Marvin. Memorial services will be held at ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday October 22, 2009 with the Reverend Roger Eigenfeld presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674. Norma was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
