Arlene Krinkey

PhotoKrinkey, Arlene M.MADISON - Arlene M. Krinkey, age 77, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009. She was born on Nov. 7, 1931, the daughter of Henry and Bernice (Sharer) Harry. Arlene graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1950 and began working at Methodist Hospital. She then attended Madison Vocational School and became a Licenced Practical Nurse. Arlene went to work at Lakeview Sanitarium where she met Duane Krinkey. She and Duane married and had five children, Nancy, Patricia, Diane, Steven and Eugene. Arlene retired from Central Wisconsin Center in 1994 after 25 years. She was a member of Women of the Moose since 1974 and a 20 year member of Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles. She loved to dance, play cards, and work around the house. But most of all loved spending time with her family and friends. Arlene is survived by her children, Patricia (Mike) Tolleson, Diane (John) Theiste, Eugene (Beth) Krinkey, Steven (Patty) Krinkey;11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia (Lee) Steward and Janet (Dean) Strohmenger; sister-in-law, Kathy Harry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Nancy Lien; and brother, Donald Harry. Funeral services will be held at BURKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5720 Portage Rd., Madison, at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, with the Rev. Russ Leeper presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m until 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, and at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
