Agnes Dougherty

Dougherty, Agnes M.STOUGHTON- Agnes M. Dougherty, age 91, of Stoughton, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Stoughton Hospital. She was born on February 27, 1918, in Avoca, the daughter of Frederick and Mary Rose (Putz) Eichorst. She enjoyed being raised on the farm and had a great love of dogs and horses. Along with her husband, John, they provided carriage rides around the Madison Square. Agnes was employed by Ohio Medical, prior to retiring. She is survived by her two sons, Mike Dougherty of Madison and Dale Dougherty of Madison; grandchildren, Steve, Melissa, and John Jr; great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Sarah Post. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Dougherty; and her twelve siblings, Edward, Emma, Albert, Rennie, Minnie, Frederick, Ida, John, Ann, Lena, Florence, and Harold. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009, at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, 202 S. 4th Street, Avoca at 11 a.m., with Rev. Steven Schneider presiding. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Avoca.
