June Deane

Deane, June D. MONONA-June D. Deane, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tues., October 20, 2009 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. She was born on Dec. 5, 1938 in Washkish, Minn., the daughter of William and Oneita Kosbau. June was a 1957 graduate of Monona Grove High School. She married Don Deane on Jan. 18, 1958 at Monona Grove Lutheran Church where she had been a life long member. June was a loving mother, homemaker and childcare provider. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, singing, gardening and animals. June is survived by her children, Debra (Doug) Sevedge, children, Brandon and Hannah; James (Terri) Deane, children, Michael and Jessica; Diane (Chip) Thomas, children, Savannah and Jory; brothers, Eugene (Joyce) Kosbau and Wayne (Linda) Kosbau; and her ex-husband, Don Deane. She was preceded in death by twin sons, Richard and Robert; parents, William and Oneita Kosbau; brother, Gerald Rahier. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, with Reverend William Pekari presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
