HIGHLANDPARK / WAUNAKEEJune Evelyn Seaberg, age 85, of Waunakee, formerly of Highland Park, IL, passed away on Saturday September 26, 2009 at Sylvan Crossing Westshire Village in Waunakee, WI. She was born on June 28, 1924, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Carl and Anna (Svensson) Ovall. She married Albin Seaberg on June 21, 1946 in Minneapolis. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Albin on December 5, 2005. June was a medical secretary for many years at the Highland Park Hospital, and an active member of the Chicago Botanic Garden, the Swedish American Museum Center in Chicago, and the American Swedish Institute in inneapolis. She was raised in the Swedish Covenant Church in Mound, MN, and was a faithful member for many years at the Winnetka Bible Church in Winnetka, IL, and more recently at the Village Church of Lincolnshire in Lake Forest, IL. She loved reading scripture daily and participated in home bible studies in every church where she held a membership. June loved her Swedish heritage and visited relatives in Sweden many times with her husband Albin. She also hosted a Swedish language class with a group of good friends who met for years at her home in Highland Park. She was a faithful wife and mother, and spent her life serving her family and loving her husband and children. June is survived by her children; Eric (Penny) Seaberg of Middleton, WI, Lisa (Brian) Krause of Ann Arbor, MI, Kurt Seaberg of Minneapolis, MN, Karla (David) Economus of Salem, WI and Marita Seaberg of New York, NY. June is further survived by her brother - Herbert Ovall of Minneapolis, MN, eight grandchildren - Anna, Stina and Britta Seaberg of Middleton, WI; Christopher, Matthew and Kara Krause of Ann Arbor, MI; and Jason and Alexis > Economus of Salem, WI, and one great grandchild - Sadie Krause of Ann Arbor, MI. Memorial services will be held at Sylvan Crossing Westshire Village, 5475 Westshire Circle in Waunakee, WI at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 8th with the Reverend Fred Weiss officiating, and at the Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church - 4101 37th Ave So, Minneapolis, MN at 11:00 am on Friday, November 27th with the Reverend Dan Ankerfeldt officiating. Internment will be at the Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 11:00 am for both services. Memorial contributions can be made to the Swedish American Museum Center at 5211 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60640or to Faith Community Bible Church, 3 N Park St., Madison, WI 53715. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the staff and volunteers from hospice care who did such a wonderful job helping June in her last year, and to the wonderful caring staff at Sylvan Crossing who loved and supported her so well during her residency there.
