George Reinke

T ruly enjoyed the 10 years working relationship with George during 1962-1972. George was a hard working and committed Dane County empolyee. He was always the first person to come to the Court House and the last person to leave. I always appreciate his loyalty to the people of Dane County and to his friends and employee. I had the good fortune to follow George as Dane County Executive. He not only left the County in excellent condition but he had also initiated several crucial human service delivery services for the developmentally disabled and seniors to name but two. George was scrupulously honest, personally of course, but also in his complete transparency in the use of taxpayer dollars. He was a true public servant throughout his long career, he was compassionate, a stickler for detail and a wonderful story teller. He knew and respected all county employees and built a true, and to this day, enduring foundation for the office of County Executive.
