Obituary

Clark, Maybert MAYVILLE/SAXON/MADISON/EVANSVILLE- Maybert Emma Elizabeth Clark, age 92, passed away peacefully at Evansville Manor with her two daughters at her side. Mae was born on April 2, 1917, in Boscobel, the daughter of Seymour and Anna (Miller) Anderson. Mae was united in marriage to Theron Clark on March 4, 1946 and began their married life stationed on Air Force bases throughout Europe and the United States. After settling in Mayville, she worked for Purity Cheese for many years. Following Theron's retirement they moved to Saxon. Mae was a very active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mayville, Good Shepard's Lutheran Church in Hurley, and St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Monona. As the matriarch of the family, Mae is survived by six children: Larry (Lori) Clark of Whitewater; Terry (Melanie) Clark of Jacksonville, Florida; Keri (Paul Richards) Clark of Anchorage, Alaska; Tom (Sue) Clark of Cambridge, Minnesota; Chuck (Pat) Clark of Tuscon, Arizona; and Cathy Clark of Evansville; nine grandchildren, Kellie Bohn, Steve (Rhonda) Clark, Zach and Matt Clark, Jennifer Goyette, Jacob Idzerda, Jon and Annah Clark, and Cory (Becky) Vukelich; four great-grandchildren, Cooper, Everett, Elizabeth and Tyler; a sister, Betty Smith of Evansville; sister-in-law, Rosie Anderson of San Antonio, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theron, in 1984; daughter, Cheri Goyette, in 1978; and two brothers, Loran Anderson and Robert Anderson. Mae always had an adventuresome spirit. After raising her seven children, she took advantage of every opportunity to travel and try out any new adventure. She often said that give her an hour to pack and she'd be ready to go anywhere. One of her favorite sayings when making a toast was "It's five o'clock somewhere." Funeral services will be held at ST.
