Rathey, William Lee
MADISON-William L. Rathey passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at the age of 80. He was born in McGee, Ark., on July 27, 1929, the son of William and Velma Rathey. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. William is survived by his two sons; a daughter; a host of grandchildren; great- grandchildren; and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at MOUNT ZION BAPTIST CHURCH, 2019 Fisher St., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, with the Rev. Richard Jones presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.

I want to extend my condolences to Brother Rathey's family again. He was such a beautiful person. He always had a smile for everyone. No matter weather he was in pain, sick or just not feeling the best he loved God, his family and church family. He will be truly missed. I will miss him seeing him on Wednesday night for family and Bible Study and on Sunday for service. I know he is in God's hands resting.
