Obituary
Runge, Martin HenryPardeeville-Martin H. Runge, age 70, of Pardeeville, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009. Marty was born on Sept. 8, 1938, the son of Martin and Helen Runge in Blue Island, IL. Marty worked and lived in Chicago, Oaklawn and Orland Park, IL. He worked as manager for Richman Brothers (mens clothing) and was promoted to district manager of Wisconsin. Marty and his family moved to West Bend, WI in 1977. Marty always loved Collies. He started out with Lady his pet Collie and from then on he continued with the Collies to raise and show. He worked hard and got his first Champion Baymars Coming Attraction. Marty was very active in Collie Clubs of America, Central States, Illiana Collie Club, Chicago Collie Club and is still a member. He applied for judging Collies and Shelties and continued raising Collies and Shelties. Marty just judged the Chicago Collie Club Speciality Show in Feb. 2009. He loved fishing, nature and animals. Marty made a few trips to Canada for fishing. He loved the Northwoods. After retirement he made his home in Rhinelander, Wis., to enjoy the rest of his life with fishing, his beloved sheltie Be-Be, and the beautiful nature. Survivors include his children: Robbie (Tom) Johnson, Martin (Penny) Runge, Kerry (Rick) Freiberg; his grandchildren: Michael and Matthew Johnson, Martin Runge, Tiffany (Runge) Cole Pustina, Allie and Brett Freiberg and friend Babe. Marty was preceded in death by his sisters, Monie Decker and Nancy Cummings. A memorial mass will be held at ST. BERNARD\'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, with Msgr. Douglas Dushack presiding. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. The family requests no flowers.
