Ruth Pierstorff

MADISON-Ruth M. Pierstorff, age 97, left peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 6, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 21, 1912, the daughter of William and Anne (Molaney) McClouskey, on the family farm in Blanchardville. Ruth was married to Roy C. Pierstorff on August 2, 1930 in Galena, Illinois and together they farmed for 52 years on the same homestead that was part of her current residence. Ruth always had a garden with strawberries, raspberries, apple trees, rhubarb and many beautiful flowers. She treasured her family and never forgot anyone\'s birthday or any other special day and always invited her family to her home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ruth taught all of her family so much and she will be greatly missed by each of them. She shared her time and herself unselfishly and set many good examples for her family to follow. Ruth enjoyed being a part of the Middleton Senior Center, the Homemaker\'s Club and the M.O.M.\'s program. She had been a member of St. Luke\'s Lutheran Church in Middleton. Ruth was privileged to have her children and grandchildren home to visit her before her passing. They include her children, Rachel Demetral, Robert (Billie)Pierstorff, Rose Matz, Terre Sims; nine grandchildren, Robert Jr. (Debra) Pierstorff, Ben (Kathy) Pierstorff, Barry (Laurie) Pierstorff, Bruce (Mary) Pierstorff, Brenda (Will) Petersen, Amie (Gary) Willingham, Monte Laufenberg, Tawna Laufenberg and Marvena Matz; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Roy, on November 3, 1982 and her parents. Private burial was held in Middleton Junction Cemetery.
