Loniello, Arleen LaVernMADISON- Arleen LaVern Loniello, age 85, passed away on August 14, 2009. She was born to Harold and Verna (Kohtz) Dobbenstein at Bradshaw, York County, Neb., on April 2, 1924. Arleen was baptized on April 27, 1924. She attended grade school at Lone Tree, district # 74 in York County. Beginning at grade 6 Arleen attended Zion Lutheran Parochial School in Hamilton County. She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church where she became a member in 1937. In 1941 the Dobberstein family moved to Madison. Arleen was married to Vernon Torbleau in 1942. The couple later divorced. She has two children, Thomas Jay Torbleau and Susan Kay Groskreutz. In the late 1940\'s she worked for the Bob White Candy Co. This is where she met the love of her life, Joe. Joe and Arleen were married on April 12, 1958. Arleen, Joe, Tom and Sue moved to their new home on Madison\'s west side. They enjoyed many happy holiday gatherings and cook outs there. Joe was always at the grill cooking italian sausage and serving their special spaghetti sauce. Arleen worked for the Wisconsin Power and Light Co., now Alliant Energy, for 36 years. Arleen was always devoted to her job at WP&L. Arleen and Joe enjoyed 46 years together before Joe\'s death on June 16, 2004. They enjoyed their family, shopping and fishing trips and visiting many of the states in the U.S. Arleen is survived by five grandchildren and their families, Tracy (Bill) Beck, Karla Bomkamp, Jay (Tammy) Torbleau, Joe Torbleau, Jared (Heidi) Torbleau; great grandchildren, Brandon, Aaron, Brian, Tana, Justin, Hunter, Montana, Joseph, Emily, and Lily; a great great grandson, Ethan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter-in-law, Karen K. Torbleau; and son-in-law, Bob Groskreutz. Funeral services will be held at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH,1021 Spaight St., Madison, on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. also on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
