Michael Berg

Berg, Michael C. STOUGHTON- Michael Charles Berg, age 88, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Oregon Manor. He was born on June 23, 1921, the son of Frank and Katherine (Mick) Berg. Michael married Estella Webster in 1941 and together they had five children. He was a farmer and a semi truck driver. Michael enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. He is survived by four children, Marilyn (Richard) Myers, Gary Berg, Michael (Andrea) Berg, and Lonna (Douglas) Briggs; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Mae Schaaf. Michael was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Berg; three brothers; and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009, at 11 a.m., at ST. ANN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 N. Van Buren Street, Stoughton, with Monsignor Gerard Healy presiding. Burial will follow at St. Paul\'s Cemetery in Mineral Point. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. A special thank you to the staff at Oregon Manor for their excellent care of Michael.
