Wagner, David V.MADISON - David V. Wagner, age 76, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at HospiceCare Inc. He was born on Feb. 27, 1933, in the Village of St. Peter, Fond du Lac County, the son of Edward and Bertha (Schneider) Wagner. David was a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at AT&T for more than 30 years, retiring in 1993. David was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and American Legion Post No. 501. He looked forward to his monthly dinner meetings with the Telephone Pioneers of America, an organization of retired telephone company employees. David also enjoyed camping and traveling in his motor home. He is survived by two brothers and six sisters, Norman Wagner and Celine Casper of Fond du Lac, Mary \"Marie\" Wagner of Madison, Sister Lorraine Wagner, SSSF of Waukesha, Alice (Tom) Guilfoyle of Hilbert, Joan Henning of Madison, Ann (Richard) Schneider of Sheboygan, and John (Donna) Wagner of New Berlin; along with many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ethel Haase; three brothers-in-law, John Haase, Jerry Henning and Donald Casper; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Wagner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Entombment will be at The Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac, at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. A special thank you to the staff at Dean Clinic, St. Mary\'s Hospital, HospiceCare, and Columbia/St. Mary\'s Hospital, Milwaukee.
