MADISON-Alan J. Kroon, age 51, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009, at his home. He was born on May 10, 1958, in Madison, the son of Marilyn (John) Guess and Jim Kroon. Alan was united in marriage to Paula Seidler on July 12, 1996, in Madison. He was a mason tender for an area masonry company for many years and also helped out at the family bar, Players Sports Bar & Grill. Alan had a variety of interests including hanging out with the gang, playing cards, especially poker, \"grilling\" for others, but treasured most the time spent with his family. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his light-hearted wit, his ability to live life to its fullest and share his gift of laughter with all he came in contact. Alan is survived by his wife, Paula Kroon; three daughters, Alayna Workman, Meagan Kroon, and Natasha Kroon; his parents, Marilyn (John) Guess and Jim Kroon; a brother, Mark (Christy) Kroon; his brother-in-law Michael (Ellen) Seidler; his sister-in-law Jen (Brian) Torgerson, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2009 with Reverend Calvin Harfst presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Alan\'s name for a memorial that has been established at Great Midwest Bank, 2902 Dryden Drive, Madison, WI 53704.Forever and Always, our dreams will continue and all that I\'m looking for I\'ll find within you.

We wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Kroon family. Alan was such a great guy. He left his beloved family without being able to say, "Goodbye." We knew Alan from Players sports bar. So sorry to hear this tragic news. Take good care.

My heart goes out to you at this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything I will be there, as I have been all these years. I am so sorry for your loss! Al was such a great guy!

Marilyn john and Mark was very surprised and sad to hear the passing of Al .He was a real loyal family man and good dad . we Had alot of good times with him well all miss him .Sorry I was unable to make the services . take care. jeff molden Indiana
