Dona Neerland

Neerland, Dona Jean\r\n MADISON-Dona Jean Neerland, age 88, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at home. Dona was born on Sept. 15, 1920, in Manitowoc, the daughter of Louis J. and Polly (Calhun) Lensmeyer. She graduated from the Wisconsin School for the Blind in Janesville; where she met her husband, Donald. Dona is survived by her husband, Donald of Madison; daughter, Debra Wells of Madison; son, Robert (Sandy) Neerland of Verona; six grandchildren, Lori (Gary) Mackey, Jason Wells, Tamara Wells, Jeremy Wells, Ryan Neerland and Breanna Neerland; three great-grandchildren, Tayana Neerland, Kailey Wells, and Jace Mackey; a brother, John Lensmeyer; and many other nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Lensmeyer and Everet Lensmeyer. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2009, with Father Lance Schneider presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
