Charlotte Ring

Ring, Charlotte L.MARSHALL/COTTAGE GROVE-Charlotte L. Ring, age 78, of Marshall, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. She was born on Feb. 8, 1931 in Baraboo, the daughter of Walter L. And Edith L. (Westphal) Zantow. Charlotte married Richard Ring on Aug. 20, 1947, in Madison, at St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife and mother. Charlotte was very skilled in ceramics and doll making. She enjoyed gardening, planting flower gardens. Charlotte was a member of St. Patrick\'s Catholic Church. Charlotte is survived by her eight children, David L. (Jane) Ring, Steven R. Ring, Georgia C. Austin, Patricia S. Ring, Marita R. (Christopher) Kehl, Richard A. Ring, Teresa J. Ring, and Christine M. Ring all of the Madison area; 15 grandchildren, Matt (DeeAnn) Ring, Kim (DJ) Daggett, Diane (Glenn) Ryder, Mike Ring, Jeffrey Austin, Adam (Erin) Frydenlund, Alexia, Joseph and Christopher Kehl Jr., Nick (Shauna) Strandlie, Jesse (Carrie), Jacqueline, Ricky Jr., and Rhianna Ring and Kelsey Jo Stowell; five great-grandchildren, Carson Ring, Gavin Ryder, and Kaylie, Kiah Frydenlund and Colton Ring; and a brother, Donald (Mary) Zantow of Mt. Horeb; and three nephews and their families.She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Ronald Zantow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICK\'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 434 N. Main St., Cottage Grove, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, with Monsignor Raymond Kertz presiding. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009, and also at the church on Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
