PhotoNieft, David WilliamMADISON - David William Nieft, age 45, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2009, at UW Hospital, following a bicycle accident. He was born on Feb. 2, 1964, in Madison, the son of William and Janice (Bahl) Nieft. Dave graduated from La Follette High School and attended MATC. In 1985 Dave met the mother of his child, Dee Watenpuhl. They spent many wonderful years together. On Feb. 2, 1994 they had a baby girl and named her Shyanne Marie Nieft. She was a precious gift, born on her daddy\'s birthday. Through the years they made many happy moments together. Dave loved to go riding on his four wheeler, taking nature walks, and catching tadpoles and frogs with his family. His favorite holidays were the Fourth of July and Halloween. He always loved carving pumpkins and going to fourth of July carnivals. Dave enjoyed music and especially playing the guitar. These memories will live on in our hearts forever. Dave is survived by his daughter, Shyanne of Madison;parents, William and Jan of Madison;sisters, Karen (Ron) Baumgartner of Stoughton and Carolyn Nieft of Madison;and Shyanne\'s mother, Dee Watenpuhl. Funeral services will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 5 p.m., on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. A visitation will be held at the church, from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 5 p.m on Tuesday.
