Joyce Rios

Rios, Joyce MADISON-Joyce Rios, age 71, loving and devoted mother and grandma, lost her battle with cancer on June 10, 2009, at HospiceCare Inc., surrounded by her family. She was born on Feb. 21, 1938 in Sparta, the daughter of Victor Koboski and Laura Scholze. Joyce graduated with honors from Sparta High School. Following high school she began her 42 year career working for the State of Wisconsin, Department of Workforce Development. Joyce was a member of the South Madison Mens-Womans Group and the Red Hat Society. She was an avid cat lover and has collected hundreds of cat figurines. Joyce was also a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by: a son, Orlando (Gayle) Rios of Madison; a daughter, Lucinda (Luis) Rodriguez of Madison; three granddaughters, Stephanie (Wesley) Lord; Yolanda (Steven) Baral; and Marquita M. Rios-James; and a brother, Ron (Arlene) Koboski. and very special friend, Wanda Rios. She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant brother, Kenneth Koboski. In keeping with Joyces wishes, a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711.
