Kenneth Strand

Strand, KennethMONONA-Kenneth Strand, age 54, of Monona, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, peacefully at home. He was born on Nov. 14, 1954, in Madison, the son of Melvin and Rosa Strand. Kenny graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1973. He was married to Janet Pederson for 10 years. Kenny was a skilled diesel mechanic. He worked for Roterud Automotive, Polk Diesel, Naglehart, Fabco and C & G Machine. Kenny loved to work on hot-rods and custom cars, and was an avid racing fan. His big heart touched the lives of many and he will be missed by many close friends. Kenny was a beloved son, dad and grandpa. He is survived by his daughter, Katie (Nick) Molnar; son, Noah Strand; grandchildren, Jasmine and Julian Molnar; his parents, Melvin and Rosa Strand; a sister, Ann (John) Sanders; and nephew, Bryan Balliett. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2009. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Dad, we will miss your smile.
