Walter Jensen

Jensen, Walter "Windy" OREGON-Walter "Windy" Jensen, age 71, of Brooklyn, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital after a short illness. He was born on Dec. 7, 1937, in Brooklyn, the son of Clarence and Marie Jensen. He married Sharon Scoville on Nov. 7, 1964, at Brooklyn Lutheran Church. Windy was with the Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Dept. for more then 30 years. He retired from the Village of Brooklyn Street Dept. working there from 1972 until 1998. He liked to spend time with his wife, his family his dogs and fix things for people. Windy is survived by his wife, Sharon; two sons, Tim, and Tylor (Vickie); two grandsons, Hunter, and Brandon; mother-in-law, Deloris Garvoille; and his two dogs Benny and Baby. He was preceded in death by his son, Tryg; his parents; his brother, Jack; and his father-in-law, Ronald Scoville. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Drive, Oregon, on Monday, May 18, 2009 at noon, with the Rev. Sara Theissen presiding. Burial will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Brooklyn. A visitation will be held on Monday, at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
