Obituary
Moe, Lloyd Waldermar Lloyd Waldermar Moe, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2009, at the New Glarus Home. He was born on March 25, 1917, the oldest son of Albert and Volberg (Anderson) Moe. Lloyd was a graduate of Madison East High School and a lifelong resident of Madisons eastside. He was united in marriage to his first wife Doris (Knudsen) of Milwaukee, who preceded him in death, and second wife Lois (Fritz) of Madison. A co-founder of Brentwood Building Corp., Lloyd was proud of developing several fine residential communities in Madison. He enjoyed the pleasures of bowling, dancing and his memberships at the Masonic Lodge and Moose Club. Having served with the SeaBees of the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II, Lloyd enjoyed the camaraderie with his fellow veterans at several of the VFW and the American Legion posts. Lloyd is survived by his sons, Richard of The Villages, Fla, Thomas of Cottage Grove, and Jeffrey of Indianapolis, Ind.; his daughter, Janice Draxler of Elgin, Minn; ten grandchildren; seven great-children; and brothers, Vernon of Ocala, Fla. and Robert of Summerfield, Fla. A celebration of Lloyds life will be held at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 312 Wisconsin Avenue, Madison, at11:30 a.m., on Monday, May 18, 2009, with the Rev.John Swanson presiding. A visitation will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
