Vicki Norgord

MT.HOREB- Vicki Norgord, age 50, of Mt. Horeb, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Saturday, May 23, 2009, after an extended illness. She was born on Sept. 9, 1958 in McKeesport, Pa., the daughter of William S. and Joan (Flicker) Bigrigg. Vicki attended UW-Madison. She enjoyed gardening and was a very thoughtful person. She is survived by her dear, loving husband of 22 years, Douglas G. Norgord; mother, Joan F. Pforsich of West Mifflin, Pa.; father, William S. Bigrigg of North Versailles, Pa.; and her "other mother", Beverly Petkanics. Vicki married into a wonderful family in Wisconsin. Dougs parents, George and Virginia Norgord; Dougs sisters, Christine (Lenny) Speth, Lynn (Mike) McLain, Jeanne (Chris) Berry, who provided the closeness and love she would need during her life and during her illness. Her nieces and nephews, Nick and Andy McLain, Aaron and Melissa Berry who provided her with some of her happiest times. Lynette Norgord was also a special friend. Vicki had many families including her cousins, Judge Liz Cure, Dr. Jennifer Simpson, Emily (Russ) Dale-Brown, and Alan Dale who shared with her many wonderful times. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May, 27, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and also on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
