Joyce Jones

MADISON-Joyce June Jones, age 83, lifelong resident of Madison, passed away of heart failure on Monday, May 11, 2009, at Sebring Assisted Living. She was born on June 3, 1925, in Madison, the daughter of William and Ethel (Grose) Luedeman. She married Luther H. Jones on March 10, 1946 in Madison. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch and was a great cook. Joyce loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She spent winters in Destin, Fla. and her cabin in Neshkoro. Joyce is survived by her children, Beth (Joe) Clement of Keota, Okla., Bonnie Larson of Madison, Denis (Judy) Jones of Aloha, Ore., Carol (Randy) Gundlach of Verona, Cheryl (Tim) Riggs of Peyton, Colo. and Todd (Trisha) Jones of Marshall; 11 grandchildren, Ginger Larson, Heather (Brad) Schroeder, Kim (Mike) Ashe, Amanda and Matt Jones, Nicole and Chris Ryder, Ross Gundlach, Madalyn, Eric and Michaela Guttenberg; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, William Barnhart; and two nieces, Linda (Roger) Stack and Patty (Lee) OKroley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luther; and sister, Kay Barnhart. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2009. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2009. Thank you to Sebring Assisted Living for their care of Joyce and to her special friend, Pat.
