Francois, Patricia D. (O'Neill)MADISON-Patricia D. Francois, age 79, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009, in Madison. Pat was born on Jan. 7, 1930, at the Madison General Hospital, to the late Vincent "Vic" and Della (Viney) O'Neill. She attended Brother Dutton (Beloit), St. James and St. Raphael's elementary schools. Pat graduated from Edgewood High School in 1948. She later took college courses at vocational school earning a business degree. She resided during her life in Madison, Dallas, Texas, Panama Canal Zone, Belleville and Monona. Pat had been employed by the federal government and retired after 25 years of service with the State of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin in 1996.She is survived by her daughter, Nicole' (Dan) Koenig of Lake Mills; a grandson, Nathan Maasz of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother, Bruce O'Neill; two sisters, Joanne (George) Hill and Sharon O'Neill; and nieces and nephews.Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and a beloved son, James D. Wheeler. The family would like to extend our gratitude to HospiceCare, Oakwood - Hebron Oaks (East Wing), Pat's caretakers: Bessie, Tekea, Tatiana, Sue and Carissa, and a special thank you to Pat's niece, Pam, for her involvement, and her caring and compassion during Pat's illness.Entombment will take place in the Chapel of the Chimes Mausoleum at Roselawn Memorial Park, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona.
