Obituary

Simoncic, Susan A. FALL RIVER/MADISON- Susan A. Simoncic, age 66, entered into heaven on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the University Hospital. She was born on Oct. 27, 1942, in Madison, the daughter of James and Charlotte (Brown) Knapp. Susan married Al Simoncic on April 23,1983. She worked in the area nursing homes as a caregiver for many years. Susan enjoyed horses, camping, fishing and loved celebrating the holidays with family. She is survived by her husband, Al; children, Cheryl Kennedy (Richard Scott), Theresa (Kerry) Peterson, Larry Dalsoren (Gloria), Shelly (Steve) Pozega, Jamie Dalsoren (Shannon), Dawn (Kevin) Birkholz; son-in-law, George Kennedy; 12 grandchildren; one great grandson and another on the way; mother, Charlotte Knapp; siblings, Carol Steele, James (Sharon) Knapp, Becky Knapp, Greg (Connie) Knapp; and many nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jerry Amstutz presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Special thank you to the doctors and staff at the U.W. hospital for their dedicated care of Susan.

Jamie & Dawn, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother passing away. I remember how much fun you guys would have when you would go visit her on the weekends and how much you loved her. I will remember you guys in my prayers. To Jamie, I understand you had a baby a few years ago when Chrisy was also pregnant. When we come to Wisconsin this summer we would love to visit with you again.

Our heart goes out to Susan's family. We will always remember the visit by Sue and Albie to Washington State. All our love and thoughts are with you Albie and you can rejoice knowing Sue has gone HOME!
