He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. Arlan was a pilot, and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He and Phyllis were world travelers, including flying on the Concord. Arlan is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Oregon; two sons, Steven (Lynn) and Scott (Tracy), both of Oregon; and grandchildren, Christopher (Natasha) Hubert, Jennifer Hubert, Matthew (Kelly) Hubert, Nicholas Hubert, and Sam Hubert. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Erna Zagrodnik and Esther Zubke; two brothers, Arnold Hubert and Alvin Hubert; two brothers-in-law, Tony Zagrodnik and Leo Zubke; and sister-in-law, Edna Hubert. Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHNS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood, Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2009, with the Rev. Paul Markquart presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church or HospiceCare Inc. A light from our household is gone, a voice we love is stilled. A place is vacant in our hearts that never can be filled.

Phyllis & boys, we pray for God's peace that passes all understanding to be with you during this time. It was good to see you in January, and we celebrate Arlan's life with you. He was a good man, husband and father, as evidenced by your family...God bless.
