Arnold Haselwander

CITY-Arnold "Arnie" M. Haselwander, 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Ellen and Peter Johnson HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born on March 31, 1928 in Malvina, WI., the son of Frank and Frances (Dick) Haselwander. Arnie was a veteran of the U.S. Army having proudly served his country for two years. He was a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service and groundskeeper for the Sauk Prairie Athletic Fields until his retirement in 1989. In retirement he drove school bus for the Middleton School District. More recently he worked at the Eagles Nest Ice Rink in Verona and for Advanced Cleaning in Madison. Arnie is survived by his children Deb (Marty) Cowie, Pam (Jim) Haskell, Kim (Linda) Haselwander, Scot (Patti) Haselwander, Jackie (Rick) Trioa, Greg Haselwander and 12 grandchildren; also sisters Clara Doudna, Doranna Lucey and Loraine Fellows; and former spouse Russlyn Haselwander. A memorial service will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 27, 2009.
