Robert Carey

Carey, Robert L. MADISON-Robert L. Carey, age 83, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Karmenta Center. He was born on Nov. 5, 1925, in Madison, the son of George and Emma (Hanson) Carey. Bob worked for Madison Kipp Corporation. He was a masterful pool player, playing in many tournaments over the years and teaching pool playing. Bob was an advocate for many charitable organizations. He is survived by two sons, Rick of Sea Level, N.C. and Mike (Nancy) of Brookhaven, Miss.; five grandchildren; two special family members, Carol (Larry) Lovedy of Douds, Iowa and Sonja Albright of Madison; and many nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill; daughter-in-law, Patsy; and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2009. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Blooming Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
