Dorothy Dauck

MIDDLETON-Dorothy P. Dauck, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Ingle Haven Living Communities in Mt. Horeb. She was born on September 17, 1920 in Mazomanie, the daughter of Ewald and Elsie (Sternhagen) Ketelboeter. Dorothy was united in marriage to Gilman C. Dauck on November 9, 1939 in St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Middleton. She was a longtime active member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church where she volunteered countless hours working luncheons, preparing communion and helping with the bible study groups. Dorothy had worked as a waitress for 23 years and also in childcare for 20 additional years. She truly enjoyed helping people but treasured most the time she spent caring for her family. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Lyle) Hollfelder, Mt. Horeb, Sandy (Roger) Nevel, Brooklyn and Greg (Linda) Dauck, Middleton; five grandchildren, Chad (Deb) Hollfelder, Peter Nevel, Kelly (Mike) Marean, Shari (Gabe Ploessl) Nevel and Rose Dauck ; four great-grandchildren, Mandi Hollfelder, Darrien Ploessl, Averey Marean and Brett Marean and two special nieces, Arlene Thomas and Eunice Christianson. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gilman C. Dauck; two sisters, Fenella Evert and Doris Dauck and three brothers, Melver Ketelboeter, Reuben Ketelboeter and Earl Ketelboeter. Funeral services will be held at ST. LUKES LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2009 with the Reverend Heather Lampert presiding. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2009 at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton and also on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
